Arsenal are preparing a new £45m bid for Leicester City star Riyad Mahrez
Mahrez has been on the Gunners radar for a while now, and Wenger is sure to attempt the transfer next month.
In the 2016 Summer transfer window Arsenal chief negotiator was in contact with Riyad but the move didn’t materialize.
It was only as recent as June this year Arsne Wenger revealed he was considering buying the talented Algerian.
Instead the Gunners felt that they had enough firepower with Alexis Sanchez, but by this time Mahrez already handed in a transfer request and was left embarrassed with just Roma making an official bid.
‘I don’t know what happened,’ Mahrez told the Daily Mail earlier this month when asked why Barcelona or Arsenal didn’t bid for him after being heavily linked.
Riyad has remained professional and gave his all for the Foxes since.
Mahrez is back on form scoring 4 goals in 8 games and is looking the player from the 2015/16 Premier League winning season, and Arsenal are to bid £45m to get their man this January.
