This may be too good of an opportunity for Jamie Vardy

Leicester legend Jamie Vardy has a European giant wanting to sign him this transfer window.

Spanish giants Atletico Madrid line up a shock move for the England international as a replacement for Antoine Griezmann who is set to move to Barcelona.

Diego Simeone is a massive fan of Vardy and was singing his praises in the Champions League last season when the Foxes played against Madrid twice.

With striker Fernando Torres also on his way out, Simeone has said that Vardy is the man they want to partner Diego Costa.

The Foxes star signed from Fleetwood town for just £1m and has became a hero at City.

Arsenal were the last club to try and sign Vardy who turned them down. He admitted that he wanted to stay put and play in the Champions League with the Foxes.

Vardy however did not rule out a move if another offer comes in.

“Just because I turned down Arsenal, that was my choice, but if another offer came in it would be the same in that I would look at it and work out the pros and cons. But no, turning down Arsenal doesn’t mean I wouldn’t look at another offer.”

This might be a too good of an opportunity to turn down for Jamie, who is set to lose fellow team mate Riyad Mahrez this summer.

Vardy is rated at £16m, however Leicester are not willing to listen to offers under £25m.

Vardy has legend status at Leicester

It will be a very sad day if Jamie does sign for Madrid, and he will always have legend status with the Foxes.
