Peter Schmeichel: ‘Kasper unhappy at Leicester City’
Kasper Schmeichel’s future at Leicester seems to be uncertain after comments made by his dad Peter Schmeichel.
He has been left frustrated by City’s inconsistent season and now his father has revealed to BeIN Sports that his son is keen to go in search of a new test.
“There are not that many places where you can go as a goalkeeper because you don’t go and take your chances you want to go and make sure you play,” he told the Mercury.
“Of course he wants to move away and try something bigger and challenge himself like any other football player.”
The ex-United legend then went on to criticise Puel, saying he doesn’t know how to get the best out of the players.
He went on to say:
“But on the other hand, Leicester City is a really good football club and once they get everything sorted out — and I leave it to you to interpret what that means — once they get their act together it’s actually not a bad club.
“They’ve got good players they just don’t have the manager who can get the best out of them. Once they get that sorted out you’ll see Leicester maybe in that 5th to 8th place that I think they belong.”
