Former Manchester City, Liverpool and Milan Striker wants to ‘rebuild’ his career in England

Mario has had an impressive spell at French Ligue 1 side Nice

Mario Balotelli’s agent has previously confirmed interest from Premier League clubs including Leicester City according to reports.

The former Manchester City and Liverpool striker us currently playing for French club Nice, scoring 33 goals over two seasons.

Mario’s agent confirms interest from the Premier League

Mino Raiola who is the agent of Balotelli confirmed that he had been in negotiations with a number of clubs in the Premier League last season.

“Mario is ready to return. He has matured and is one of the top ten strikers in the world.

“In Italy, he is number one. He is worth €100m (£87m), but his contract is expiring, so he will be a bargain.

“I am negotiating with clubs in England and Italy.

Mino Raiola rates the Italian international as one of the top ten strikers in the world and insists he has matured as a person.

A move to the Premier League didn’t materialise last season, so he decided to stay with Nice.

The striker has been told that ‘It will be over’ and there will be no contract extension which means he will leave the club and be available for a free.

Mario has failed to find the net in Ligue 1 this season, assisting just one goal in ten appearances for the French club where he started 9 games.

Balotelli started his Premier League career when Manchester City signed him from Inter for a fee of £22.5m. He made 54 appearances for the Manchester Club before moving back to Italy in 2013 to sign for Milan for a transfer worth £19m.

He did return to England to play for Liverpool making 28 appearances scoring just four times which seen him sent back to Milan on loan by former boss Brendan Rodgers.

“Because I found myself [performing]very bad in Liverpool. I said the team was good and the fans are amazing, but I would never go back to Liverpool.

Mario has said a return to Liverpool is not possible but he wants to rebuild his career at England’s top level and he would welcome a move back to the Premier League.
