England stars Jamie Vardy and Harry Maguire may sit out of opener against United
Harry Maguire and Jamie Vardy today landed back in England, where they will begin a 3 week break following their international performances.
Three weeks recovery will mean that they are due back training just one week before the season opener against Manchester United.
One weeks training will not get the Foxes stars up to speed so they are unlikely to feature until City compete against Wolves on Saturday 18th August.
However, it is not all bad news as Manchester United are likely to rest SEVEN of their players due to the World Cup.
Paul Pogba, Romelu Lukaku, Phil Jones, Jesse Lingard, Marcus Rashford, Ashley Young and Marouane Fellaini are all set to miss the opener against the Foxes.
United Manager Jose Mourinho said:
Three weeks (off), which I think is the minimum that their body and soul needs, and which is the minimum for them to return and think about football again
This will be a sigh of relieve for most Leicester fans as City aim to get off to a flying start.
Maybe, just maybe this our chance to get the season off to a decent start.
