Foxes ready to swoop for £15m experienced winger
Leicester are on the lookout for a replacement for Mahrez who is set to leave this summer.
Swiss International Xherdan Shaqiri (26), is the latest player to be linked with the Foxes.
Shaqiri has won a number of trophies with Bayern Munich and is a Champions League winner, and three time German champion.
He has also played over 70 times for his country scoring 20 times.
Xherdan made 52 appearances for Bayern Munich before moving to Inter Milan in 2015 for a fee of £13.5m.
While at Inter he only made 15 appearances and failed to make an impact.
He was a target by a number of clubs including Everton, Dortmund, and Schalke).
Xherdan eventually agreed a deal with Stoke and has been a very important player for the club. He went on to make 84 appearances scoring 15 goals.
The experienced Winger had scored a sensational individual goal against City giving them a 1-0 lead, however an unfortunate Jack Butland own-goal meant Leicester earned a point.
Shaqiri is highly rated by Leicester boss Claude Puel who is preparing a £15m bid for the winger following Stoke’s relegation.
Leicester are up against competition with West Ham, Palace and Everton also interested.
