Jonny Evans will leave West Brom once the season is over
Leicester City are to sign Jonny Evans, 30 from West Brom on their second attempt – the first being last season.
Bids of up to a mouthwatering £23m were made last summer, but the Baggies were holding out for £30m for the Northern Ireland centre-half.
Due to a relegation clause in the contract for Evans he will be available for a cut price of just £3m once relation has been confirmed.
The experienced centre-back has over 120 appearances for Manchester United and over 60 appearances for Northern Ireland.
Evans signed for West Brom in August 2015 and has since made 68 appearances for the all-but-relegated Premier League side.
Relegation can be confirmed for the West Midlands side this weekend as if they lose to Tottenham and Swansea draw against Bournemouth.
Jonny Evans is set to sign on a three-year deal.
