£13m signing Filip Benkovic set to leave after less than a month with the club
Benkovic has yes to make an appearance for Leicester since joining on the English transfer deadline day earlier this month.
The 21 year old was Claude Puel’s 6th signing of the summer who arrived at the King Power on a 5 year deal.
Benkovic had been targeted by Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan this summer after some very impressive performances for his club last season.
The defender made his debut for Dinamo Zagreb in 2015, and has since made more than 70 appearances for the club including 13 in Europe’s elite competition.
He went on the help his boyhood club win the double finishing first in the league and winning the league cup.
With competition in the Leicester squad Claude Puel is happy to loan him out to get game time, with Celtic lining up the Croatian.
Their star man Dedryck Boyata is set the leave the club and Brendan Rogers is keen on taking the Foxes man to replace him.
Both clubs are agreeing that a loan move would benefit the player.
