Foxes boss says Leicester can go all the way with his sights set on the trophy
Leicester got off to a great start in the Carabao Cup with an encouraging 4-0 win against Fleetwood Town.
The Foxes took the lead in just the 8th minute with a Christian Fuchs rocket (to see the goal click here)
Vicente Iborra, Kelechi Iheanacho and new man Ghezzal got on the score sheet with a Marezesque strike.
Claude Puel made his intentions clear from the very start with a strong team-sheet which paid off.
“Of course the Premier League is always important, we want to finish as high as possible. But a cup is a possibility to win something. We want to play this cup with the intensity, the quality and I hope until the end.
We know the fighting spirit of the opponent, it’s always important to give our best, to keep a good structure, good quality in the play, simplicity also,” he said.
“I was impressed a lot with this performance because we played very well until the end of the game, giving a good feeling for our fans and for themselves.“They enjoyed the game with fantastic moves, working together to recover the ball, and scored two fantastic goals.”
Leicester have not won the League Cup since 2000, but with Claude Puel taking this competition seriously you have to think the Foxes are in with a great chance.
